What this means if you are hiring
Posting the ad is not the hard part. Getting a person who can legally take the job to read it is. The ad that fails is usually the one that never says who it is open to, what the pay is, or when the shift runs — and the applicant cannot find out without writing in.
What this means if you are applying
An ad with no applicants is often an ad whose rules were never stated. Ask three things in your first message: what the fixed monthly salary is, which work pass the employer will apply for, and who pays the fees. If an ad cannot answer the first question, the application is not worth your money.
How this was measured, and its limits. Figures read on 20 September 2026, 3.36 am SGT from the MyCareersFuture public jobs API (api.mycareersfuture.gov.sg), the Singapore government’s own board. Applications and views are that board’s own counters, so they measure that board only — not the whole market — and they are not a measure of our traffic. Median figures are used throughout because a handful of high-pay ads distort an average. This page is regenerated whenever we re-read the API, and the date above is the date of the read.
